We provide a number of data processing and interpretation services to the offshore cable and pipeline construction industries.  Our pre-installation data reduction and interpretation deliverables are meant to aid the planning engineers and dredging contractors in their decision-making process.   Our services can benefit pipeline or cable depth of burial surveys, as-built surveys, depth to bedrock surveys, pre-installation surveys, hazard surveys, archaeological surveys, or free-span detection/prediction surveys.

Key Benefits

  • Total interpretations and charting that integrates all available information.
  • Wide variety of mapping and interpretation techniques that can be used to meet our clients unique needs.
  • Unique interpretation tools that allows us to get more out of the data.
  • Quick turn-around times with results that can be transmitted over the internet.

Capabilities

We have developed software and techniques specifically for the planning engineers and dredging contractors.  We also conform to and exceed requirements published by government regulatory agencies.  With workstation analysis capabilities, we can filter and transform digitally recorded SEG-Y subbottom profiler data to increase resolution and penetration enabling us to see features that would normally go undetected.

Software designed specifically for pipeline and cable survey interpretation.
Over the years we have developed software that enable us to accurately reduce survey data and produce precise locations and elevations of features.  These programs include SPAN-MAP (pipeline free-span mapping), SSS-MAP (sonar target positioning and height calculation routines), MAG-MAP (accurate interpretation and positioning of magnetic anomalies), and SEIS-MAP (positioning of features from paper subbottom profiler records).
Government Compliance
We will meet and exceed requirements of government regulatory bodies such as the MMS or state lands organizations.  We work closely with these agencies, and have over the years established a high degree of credibility.
Workstation analysis
We have developed techniques to load and analyze digitally recorded subbottom profiler data (SEG-Y format) into the Kingdom Suite interpretation software developed by Seismic Micro Technologies.  Sonar Web Pro by Chesapeake for mosaic construction, and several multibeam processing packages. The wide array of tools available in this software allows us to transform and filter the data in such a way that features that are undetectable on the field strip charts are easily detected and interpreted.  Such features can include buried pipelines, depth to the top of bedrock, shallow gas, shallow mud diapirs, etc.
Quick Turn-Around
As with all our deliverables, we promise a fast turn-around without sacrificing quality of interpretation or precision of mapping.  We work the same hours field crews do - seven day a week!  We can deliver AutoCAD drawings, reports and data files through our client FTP site.
